Brendan Mahoney

Brendan’s practice has been dedicated to the defense of insureds in civil litigation since he was admitted to the New York Bar in 2009 and has handled construction defect, construction injury, products, premises, municipal, professional and auto claims.  When first admitted, Brendan began his career defending general contractors and premises owners against Labor Law claims, primarily in New York City.  He later handled commercial litigation matters on behalf of national banks and smaller specialized lenders, as well as insurance coverage and subrogation claims involving high value losses, again primarily in New York’s five boroughs.  Most recently, he served as local counsel to major turbine, pump, valve, aftermarket automotive friction components, and compressor manufacturers, defending them against asbestos products claims.

Brendan has actively pursued pro bono matters, providing legal services to veterans and victims of domestic violence in need, including arguing before the U.S. Naval Review Board in Washington, DC.  While in law school, he clerked for a litigation firm, was a student attorney at Greater Boston Legal Services, and participated in mock trial and the negotiation clinic.  Brendan graduated with a History degree from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY, with honors, and studied history at Pembroke College, Oxford University for one year.
