Sam Moyal is an associate at Fixler & LaGattuta, LLP, where he focuses his practice on the defense of insured and self-insured entities in a wide range of personal injury and general liability matters. His experience includes premises liability, New York State Labor Law claims, motor vehicle accidents, property damage, contractual indemnification and subrogation actions. Mr. Moyal regularly handles all phases of litigation, including case evaluation, pleadings, discovery strategy, depositions, dispositive motion practice, court appearances and appellate briefing.
Mr. Moyal graduated magna cum laude from Touro College with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, earning Dean’s List honors in six of eight semesters. Prior to law school, he gained substantive legal experience at a real estate and landlord-tenant firm, where he assisted in the defense of large New York City property owners and in managing real estate closings.
He earned his Juris Doctor from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law as a Dean’s Merit Scholar. While at Cardozo, Mr. Moyal served as a Staff Editor of the Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal and was Vice President of the Cardozo Sports Law Society. He further developed strong drafting and analytical skills while working at a boutique New York firm concentrating in Trusts & Estates and Family Law.
Since joining Fixler & LaGattuta during his third year of law school, Mr. Moyal has distinguished himself through rigorous legal analysis, persuasive motion practice and effective advocacy across multiple lines of insurance defense litigation. He is known for his attention to detail, strategic approach to case development, and clear, effective written and oral advocacy.
